Zarod Grandrig Heildregch

The ranking cleric of the temple of St. Jason, Heildregch, Zarod has lived a solitary life devoted to the clergy, at least until recently. He was born in 1249 to Mary Deerchild Heildregch and Artax Grandrig Heildregch. In 1259, Zarod became an acolyte to the temple of St. Jason, and in 1278, Zarod became Head Cleric.

In 1301, Zarod became the primary spokesperson for Lord Rober D'Venssi Heildregch in coordinating a defensive against the forces of Lumcrox and Alabaster. It was during this time that several indepeneent adventuring parties formed in the Heildregch proper: the Shining Lions, Swiss Ninjas, and Enemies of the State. As his level of involvement progressed from reclusive devout clergyman, to facilitator of Lord D'Venssi, Zarod became the target of a successful assassination. This was primarily due to his studies on an ancient prophecy. Zarod was assassinated by a pair of orcs (and a Barghest), but was resurrected in the chamber at the Prison-Temple of Markof.
