Xaister
From Rathe
This small hamlet of about 220 people strong sits amidst the forests to the south of Heildregch. The town is watched over by 8 elders that have forgone their familial names to become the mothers and fathers of the town. Up until a few days ago, this system of governance was highly respected and the town ran smoothly under the elders' benevolent gaze.
Following an orcish attack, the hamlet has been thrown into chaos. Livestock were taken, the town militia suffered a 75% casualty rate, weapons and armor were pilfered, and the communal home of the elders was burnt to the ground ... with the leading elders of Xaister within.
Only after the first twelve hours did some sense of order become re-established. Several individuals have stood up the the occasion in this time of need, providing the town with several vital services.
Kleitophon, son of Corymbus, Captain of the Guard, has been the leading figure in the relief effort, having founded the infirmary at the Tall Tree Hostel and sent requests for aid to the neighboring towns.
Sosthenes, the second highest Cleric of Xaister is currently in charge of the infirmary at the Hostel.
Leukippe, daughter of the armory and weapon store owner, has been incharge of rearming the new town militiamen and in their training.
Artaxes is the brewmaster's apprentance and has been providing food and water to the townsfolk who have become impoverished as well as to the new militiamen.
These are but four of the younger townsfolk who have become more well known for their efforts to help the town in a time of need. The traditional figureheads who are still alive are Corymbus, Captain of the Guard, and ibs, the highest level Cleric of Meroc. Most others have been slain or taken away during the night.
