Located amidst the rolling plains, near the gentle curve of the Deep River, the scenery of Heildregch is dominated by the central features of Keep D'Venssi and the Sacred Grounds of Saint Jason's Temple. To the north of the crossroads, near the river, Keep D'Venssi stands tall overlooking the surrounding countryside and wilderness. Across the way, to the south, stands the Temple of St. Jason, not quite as imposing as Keep D'Venssi, but a demanding structure nonetheless. It is surrounded on three sides by the cemetery and cultivated farmland.

The local Heildregchians seem to have a friendly, if not curt, demeanor and dress mostly in earth tones, with bands of dark red being a common addition. They seem to be accustomed to the presence of travelers and go about their business without much distraction. Overall, this place conveys the feeling of comfort and safety amidst wilderness unclaimed.

The agricultural fields south of the river and beyond the Temple are divided into three subdivisions, where most of the population farms. North of the river there are no settled buildings of note, as most of the town live to the south for reasons of protection (the keep itself stands to guard the river area). The ferries to the north of the town stand as evidence of the mindset that those who live in Heildregch exibit: their motto is to populate the southern side (which is more agriculturally friendly) and ignore the north side that has in the past been raized by unfriendly groups (pick your choice, there have been plenty). But perhaps the most simple reason for their inhabitance on the southern side is because the river provides an advantageous bend that secures more sides of the town and they have found this location most suitable; it is also where the home and keep of the D'Venssi family was first erected and the Temple of St. Jason founded. However, expansion across the river is bound to happen some day, with the town's recent population growth, but for now they sit nestled near the crux of the Deep River.
