A small town of about 1,300 people located on the western coast of the Areopagus. It is situated at the mouth of a bay, on the bank of a river that flows into the bay. The surrounding area is almost all swamp. The town is known for its shipyards, which produce beautiful and delicately crafted vessels. It is also a port and fishing center.
