Corporeal instability

Corporeal instability is a horrible condition that can take hold on a person when they are hurt by a chaos beast. Several individuals of Rathe have experienced corporeal instability, including Veucy Mommaseila and Vician Chang.

Symptoms

Those who are corporeally instable find that their form literally melts. They tend to look like amorphous blobs, churning and writhing. While in this form, they become wracked with pain, flail about wildly, suffer mental shock, and suffer a host of other problems. Those who stay amorphous for too long turn into a chaos beast themselves, and are forever lost.

Composing Yourself

Those afflicted can attempt to regain their form; those that do however can only keep their form for minutes. After that, they re-melt back into a blob, and suffer the same symptoms mentioned above.

Recovery

Those who have (or have had) corporeal instability cannot hope to fight it off like a normal disease. Only strong clerical magic (Restoration or greater) can cure such an individual.
